A woman has accused New Jersey actor and comedian Chris D’Elia, 40, of making sexual advances to her in 2014 and 2015 when she was 16. D’Elia was 34 at the time of the sexual accusation.
Simone Rossi, the accuser, has posted email screenshots she says Chris D’Elia had sent her on Twitter about the alleged incident, saying that she couldn’t believe he was cast as a pedophile for the series “You” on Netflix, tweeting in the Twitter feed, “Like the literal IRONY”.
The screenshots, from 2014 and 2015, Rossi said D’Elia asks for a picture of her, she responded by sending him a picture of a panda bear.
On Jan 1, 2015, D’Elia sent Rossi a message saying, ““I’m in Tempe, Let’s hang.”
Rossi answered, “Do you wanna meet up tonight?”.
D’Elia answered, “Yesss, Can we make out?”.
Rossi said she believed D’Elia knew she was in high school because Rossi was following her Instagram account that had photos of “high school football games and spirit days.”

Rossi said, “I am also definitely not the only underage girl he did this too.”
Rossi, who’s Twitter handle is @girlpowertbh, wrote : “for the longest time i thought it was embarrassing for ME that i was interacting with this older man but he was the one who DM’d me on twitter and was the one who was twice my age and was the one that used the power imbalance between us to his advantage so f*** chris d’elia.”
Newsweek had reported that in other tweets on Rossi’s Twitter feed Chris D’Elia was also accused of asking an underage girl to cuddle with him in his hotel room, and was accused of asking a 16 year old girl for nude photos and tried to make sexual advances toward her.
