Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is now embroiled in another legal storm as attorney Tony Buzbee announced a fresh wave of bombshell lawsuits accusing the music mogul and other high-profile individuals of sexual abuse. Buzbee, representing 120 victims, declared during a press conference on Tuesday that the list of alleged accomplices will include household names that “will shock you.”
“The day will come when we will name names other than Sean Combs, and there’s a lot of names,” Buzbee remarked, indicating that the legal battle would extend far beyond the former rapper.
Buzbee revealed that he plans to file lawsuits in multiple states over the next month and confirmed that half of the plaintiffs are male, with most of the alleged incidents occurring in New York, California, Georgia, and Florida. The allegations date back to 1991, with the youngest reported victim being just nine years old, and at least 25 of the accusers were minors at the time of the alleged assaults.
Many of these claims are linked to Combs’ notorious annual White Parties, lavish events often associated with drug use and sexual misconduct. The cases also allege that these abuses took place in hotels and other private venues.
This latest wave of lawsuits is just part of a broader legal battle against the 54-year-old Combs, who has already faced several accusations of sexual and physical abuse. The former rapper and entrepreneur was recently indicted on federal racketeering and sex trafficking charges, further damaging his public image.
Combs has denied all allegations of wrongdoing. Through his legal representative, Erica Wolff, he has emphatically refuted the charges, calling them “false and defamatory.” Wolff added, “Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors. He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court.”
Buzbee, however, expressed his commitment to pursuing justice, vowing to hold all parties accountable. “We will leave no stone unturned to find all potentially liable parties, including any individual or entity who participated in or benefited from this egregious behavior,” he said. He also called on other potential victims or witnesses to come forward, assuring that their identities would remain confidential for now.
The criminal charges against Combs bear a resemblance to claims made by his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a separate lawsuit, which was settled shortly after it was filed. Additionally, prosecutors allege that Combs orchestrated and participated in drug-fueled orgies, dubbed “Freak Off’s,” using intimidation and coercion to silence victims. Raids on his homes in Miami and Los Angeles reportedly uncovered narcotics, weapons, and over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant.
Despite the gravity of the charges, Combs remains in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, having been denied bail twice. His legal team continues to maintain that Combs is innocent and that the allegations are part of a “reckless media circus.”
